By learning how to ask specific questions, you can what makes your atrium unique and can discover how to welcome others more fully. We can’t just paint our sheep and expect that others will know they are welcome. To be inclusively hospitable, we need to examine our atrium’s unique social location. It is our unique matrix of factors including: genders, races, social classes, leader’s ages, abilities, and geographic locations. When examined, these help us navigate through our unrecognized biases and create atriums where we can open the sheepfold’s gate wider. This workshop is a brave space where we will discuss people of color’s marginalization and erasure from Christian spaces and find joy in ways of celebrating color in the wider sheepfold.
